Mr. Touray is the Founder, Chairman and CEO of SIMI, and has considerable local and international experience in investment banking, financial management, private sector development, and privatization, as well as in public enterprise management, human resources development, economic management, and capacity building.

Mr. Touray who has an MBA in Management Finance from Atlanta University, also holds a Bachelors Degree in Economics from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. He has served, and serves on numerous Boards of Directors. He also served as Alternate Governor of the Multi-lateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA) of the World Bank Group.

He was also instrumental in the realisation of several investment projects in The Gambia including the Flagship, Kairaba Beach Hotel, Kololi Beach Hotel, Gambia Cotton Company, Radville Farms, Gacem Cement Factory, Lye Fish, and BB & Sons Fisheries Company.

Prior to starting SIMI, Mr. Touray was the Chief Executive of the former National Investment Board (NIB), the Gambia's investment management and promotion agency. Under his leadership, NIB organised and directed several investment missions to The Gambia and succeeded in attracting considerable foreign direct and portfolio investments to the country. He was appointed as the first Chairman of the Gambia Investment Promotion and Free Zones Agency (GIPFZA).

Mr. Njie, who has over twenty-two years of public sector experience, holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Management, and a Diploma in Development Administration. During his long and illustrious public sector career, he served in various capacities in Local Government, Inland Revenue, and in the House of Parliament. A Property Valuation Specialist, Mr. Njie rose, in the public service, to the position of Director of Surveys and Lands in the Department of Lands and Surveys, The Gambia.

Mr. Njie joined SIMI, and has been involved in a wide variety of projects and assignments including salary reviews for hotels and public institutions, feasibility studies for a commercial projects, impact assessment studies for a variety of sectors ranging from Internet development to public works projects.

Additional assignments Mr. Njie has completed include studies on public policy, and assignments on investment and project management.

Mr Abdou Njie is the former Governor of the Central Bank of The Gambia, and prior to that appointment, he served as Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Economic Planning and Industrial Development (MEPID). He served as lead Economic Adviser to the Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs on monetary and macroeconomic issues.

Over his twenty-five year professional career at MEPID and the Central Bank of the Gambia, Mr. Njie was fully involved in research, formulation and the implementation of monetary and macroeconomic policies.

Mr. Njie brings a wealth of experience to our team in investment promotion, design, appraisal, negotiation and execution of development projects, contract management and procurement systems,institutional development and human resource management.

Mr. Njie is familiar with matters at governmental and multilateral institutional level given the fact that he served as Alternate Governor at the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and Adviser to the African Development Bank (ADB), and Islamic Development Bank (IDB) for over ten years.

Mr. Njie is also actively involved in a variety of community-oriented activities, especially in the fields of education and sports.

Mr. Sallah’s tenure of 20 years as Director of the Gambia renewable energy central and the director of energy at the ministry of trade, industry and employment has added a wealth of expertise and experience to our core team in the area of renewable energy.

Mr. Sallah’s portfolio and responsibilities were mainly in the area of research, development, promotion of renewable energy technologies, energy policy formulation, implementation of energy programmes and enforcement of energy sector legislation at the level of the Department of State.

Mr. Sallah has participated in several consultancy services;
Coordinator- UNCDF Solar Project for health and telecom installations Coordinator Regional solar programme Coordinator - Review of Policies in the traditional energy sector Managing Director of Agric Energy Systems Ltd Board of Directors of the National Water and Electricity Company (NAWEC)

Mr Salleh also participated in the writing and formulation of the current National Energy Policy Document.

In the area of sports promotion and development Mr Salleh has served two terms as Chairman of The National Sports Council and President of the Gambia Basketball Association.

Tamsir Manga joined SIMI in 2007. At SIMI he has advised companies as well as governmental and multilateral development agencies on the raising of economic and trade development, private sector development, policy formulation and project management for the development, construction and operation of a number of projects and transactions. In addition to providing strategic advice, he has completed the financing of domestic and international transactions in mergers and acquisitions in the private sector.

His previous position was Permanent Secretary Ministry of Youth and Sports, where he was chief technical adviser to the Minister on all matters related to youth and sports development in The Gambia. He also worked for several years as Permanent Secretary with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Employment, as chief technical adviser on Trade, Industry and Employment and coordinated The Gambia's collaboration with the World Trade Organization, United Nations Conference on Trade and Development and the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

Mr.Manga has more than twenty five years of domestic and international experience in the financial advisory, structuring, planning, analysis and arrangement of projects in a number of industry sectors including Economic, Trade, Industrial & Private Sector Development, Policy Formulation & Project Management.

Mr Manga holds Master's degree in Public Administration from Central Michigan University, USA, and Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Howard University, Washington DC, USA. Mr Manga has frequently spoken at conferences both in The Gambia and globally on a range of topics related to the financing of projects in a number of industries. Mr Manga is an avid Scorpions football fan.
